Hello all!! Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is the last day to place orders to ensure they arrive before Christmas! We have had another fabulous Christmas season…I have been able to design so many Christmas cards this year and I love it because it’s one of my favorite things to do. If you still need to place an order for Christmas presents please call the studio or email me by tomorrow.

As many of you know I drive an hour one way, 6 days a week to work in Camden. This has been extremely hard, especially with Karlie in tow. We have been trying to sell the house for 2 1/2 years now with no luck due to the housing market. With that being said I have decided to work out of my house doing ‘on location’ shoots until we can sell the house and move to Camden. No big deal. I know it’s a bit of a shocker but I think I am really going to enjoy it. I have been looking to slow down and my business keeps growing and growing (which I am very thankful for) but I would also like to slow down and enjoy Karlie while she is small.

I already have several “on location clients” where I go to their home for sessions and they tell me that they like it better than having to come to the studio because it is simpler for them…I come to their house (or a location we decide on) shoot the session, post their images online, they order then the order is shipped to them. Easy peezy! 

And also, just as a little side note…..if you want to order from a past session just let me know…I have everything at home to place your order and I will either deliever it or mail it…whichever is better. 

So with that being said, everyone say a little prayer that our lovely house sells and we can move back to Camden. Again, I have already heard the rumors are flying (don’t you just love Camden LOL) that I am closing. My answer is NO WAY! Just a simple temporary relocation. 

I will be starting the new year working out of the house…last day to work before the holidays will be Dec. 23. I will be taking the first two weeks off in Jan to get my wisdom teeth removed….fun, fun. Then I will start scheduling sessions again. 

I do realize that I am not going to be as crazy busy as before and I am ok with that. I am excited that I am going to get to take my time with my sessions. I am a perfectionist at heart but ever since I started the business I have had too much on my plate and it BUGS me to no end that I can’t do everything in the OCD manner that I used to do. hahaha I have felt like an assembly line photographer (…..next…..next….next) but now I get to be more custom made. I am such a planner! 

Another big thing I am excited about (and you should be too) is that it is going to be easier on you to get your session done, order your images, and get them back to you!! You NEVER have to leave your home to do business with me! Isn’t that exciting. I feel like that commerical about going to college in your pjs from the comfort of your own home. Another great thing is I am not on an 9-5 schedule so if we need to plan your session for 6 pm because you don’t get off of work until 5 then we can do it! Exciting huh?!?

I wanted to quickly post up some images of our Christmas theme- Bohemian Christmas. I had a lot of fun designing this set and it is definitely one of a kind. The great thing about it is the options you have…..wear red and it’s an automatic “Christmas photo” but if you wear browntones then you can have these photos up year round. Voila! We are completely booked to the max for our Limited Edition this Saturday but if you want to schedule a session for our Christmas background, call or email us to get on the calendar. The next 4 weeks are the busiest days of the year here at the studio so book soon to ensure your spot.

It’s that time of year again….the Christmas rush has already begun here at the studio so we thought it would be a good idea to provide you with some information about this year’s holiday season. Below you will find a list of important dates and deadlines to ensure you are all in the know about what is going on here at the studio. I will be working everyday (with the exception of Sundays, of course) until Dec. 23rd as well as extended hours here and there to make sure everyone gets what they need in time for Christmas. Our first deadline is for our speciality products such as frames, coffee table albums and purses. It will be here before you know it!

If you haven’t booked for our Christmas Limited Edition on Nov. 14th then call or email today. We have only a couple of spots left. We will be posting an image in a few days of the set up and it is just lovely….take my word for it. The session fee for these mini sessions is only $25 and that includes the design time for your Christmas cards. We also will be offering 25% off gift prints and wall portraits ONLY for the Limited Edition so if you know you want Christmas pictures then your best bet is to book for Nov. 14.

We had too much fun doing this trash the dress session yesterday. I even got to climb a tree to take pictures…anytime I can find an excuse to do something that takes me back to acting like a child, I am all for it! Enjoy some sneak peeks of Jen and Jason!

We are now booking for our fall limited edition and we have very limited space for this one day only event. You won’t want to miss out on this one. Of course it will be outside (location tba) and the only way I can describe it is fall mixed with a very Kerri King Photography style. This session is perfect for families and kids of all ages. We will be posting an image soon of the set up but for now it is top secret.

ok so i have been shocked by the number of seniors that have booked our all inclusive “fashionista session”. Amanda came all the way from memphis to spend the morning with us and we went to several locations and captured LOTS of images. Here are a few from her session….Enjoy!

as everyone already knows, i LOVE doing sessions that are a little out of the box. So the trash the dress session on Saturday was a perfect creative outlet for me. Me and Tiffany had a ton of fun with this newly married bride and although we didn’t completely “trash” her dress, we did get to do some unexpected shots of her in her wedding dress at some really neat locations. The weather was completely and totally perfect and so was the session…..except for all the tick bites on tiffany…..sorry tiff!

How sweet is this brand new baby girl?!? She did perfect for her session today! Gosh, I love a fresh baby!

Saturday, September 12th from 10-1 will will have the launch of the new Matilda Jane fall 2009 line “Back to School”. Our spring show was a huge success and I know we will have more people to come to our fall show. More info and incentives coming soon.
